Willow Springs Park is a 36-acre Johnson City park at 1201 Huffine Road. It has 1.8 miles of paved walking surface around the park, picnic areas, shelters and the Johnson City Dog Park, a 1.6-acre members-only fenced area with separate space for small dogs. The city announced a major renovation of the Johnson's Depot playground beginning in July 2026, including a planned splash pad; check current city updates for construction and access status. Winged Deer Park is a 200-acre Johnson City park at 4137 Bristol Highway. Amenities include five lighted softball fields, three lighted soccer fields, batting cages, an 18-hole disc golf course, a playground, a half-mile walking track and paved fitness trails. The lakefront area includes sand volleyball courts, public boating access, green space, an accessible boardwalk, an amphitheater and Festival Plaza. The park also includes the historic Robert Young Cabin, the Massengill Monument and the James H. Quillen Historical Tree Arboretum.
