Buffalo Mountain Park

Buffalo Mountain Park is a 725-acre natural resource area at 570 High Ridge Road on the north slope of Buffalo Mountain in Johnson City. Its steep, densely forested terrain is used primarily for hiking, picnicking and nature programs, with approximately 8.2 miles of moderate trails and a strenuous climb toward the mountain's higher overlooks. Weather permitting, park hours are 7 a.m.–9 p.m. March through October and 7 a.m.–7 p.m. November through February; the upper parking lot is closed Dec. 15–March 15.
