King Commons Park

King Commons is a three-acre downtown Johnson City park and event space. It includes walking paths, an amphitheater, the Wildabout mural, a playground featuring natural elements, and a history circle highlighting dates from Johnson City’s first 150 years. The park was completed in 2018 as part of a stormwater-retention project.

Johnson City Parks and Recreation presents a free outdoor screening of “Top Gun” at King Commons as a Stars & Stripes Cinema night with ETSU and Downtown Johnson City in connection with America’s 250th birthday.
